Arboleda, Badelic, Cheng, Clarino, Del Rosario, Felongco, Gadia and Valmayor are also part of the Philippines U-23 team that competed in the 28th Southeast Asian Games in Singapore last year.

Perth Glory is in the Philippines as part of their preseason preparation for the A-League starting this August. They were held to a scoreless draw against Global FC, but got back with a 2-1 win over the UFL All-Stars.

The Azkals are also in the midst of preparing for the Suzuki Cup to be co-hosted by Myanmar and Philippines this November. The Nationals last competed in March against North Korea in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
