CEBU, Philippines - Japanese world title challenger Tomoki “El Mexicanito” Kameda (27-0, 18KOs) promised to deliver an impressive victory as he fights for the WBO bantamweight title against South African champion Paulos  Ambunda  (20-0, 10KOs)  on  Aug. 1 at the  Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Tomoki who has been training at the Rex ‘Wakee’ Salud Gym already sparred with former OPBF challenger Marco Demecillo and reigning WBO Asia Pacific Youth Flyweight champion Romnick Magos.

“I feel good training here in Cebu, I will give my best because I want to get that belt and it’s my main goal to be a world champion,” said the 22-year-old Tomoki who is the youngest of the three fighting Kameda brothers of Japan.

“My plan is to use my reach advantage in fighting him (Ambunda) and if there will be a chance, I am going to knock him out.”

Tomoki who trains under the guidance of Cebuano trainer Sulpicio Ano-os, wants to claim his very first world title following the steps of his elder brother Koki who holds the WBA bantamweight title.

In the supporting main event of the slambang boxing card presented by Kameda Boxing Promotions in coordination with Rex ‘Wakee’ Salud Promotions, RWS Gym fighter Marlon Tapales will take on Fredirex Rodriguez of Bukidnon.
